Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Program

To follow an undergraduate education program at Harambee University, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of preparatory secondary education and obtaining the necessary pass mark in the University entrance examination annually.

  • For those retaking the entrance examination after completing preparatory secondary education or taking it privately, the previous entrance exam's cutoff/pass mark is valid for only five years.

  • Applicants from TVET or vocational backgrounds seeking to join the undergraduate program must have either a diploma or certificate (10+3) or a Level IV certificate document in a similar or related field.

  • Applicants must also possess a Level IV Qualification Assessment Confirmation National Certificate (COC Level IV) with two years of experience, as per FDRE Ministry of Education Proclamation 1152/2011 Article 40.

Note:

  • Admissions and enrollments to all programs are processed by the University Registrar in consultation with the academic units concerned.

  • Criteria for special admissions to individual programs such as special needs education shall be developed and recommended by the academic commission of the relevant academic unit and endorsed by the AEC.

  • Foreign students must have the letter of equivalence established by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education/ ETA.
